The Middle School of the Art Foundation announced the addition of two new Board Directors, Ms. Jenna Shinn and Ms. Whitney West.
Ms. Jenna Shinn, a Business Development Specialist with Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is a graduate from the University of Central Florida. She joined Memorial Healthcare System in 2017. With the opening of the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Health Specialty Center in Wellington, Ms. Shinn’s focus is in Palm Beach County. In addition to serving on the Middle School of the Arts Foundation Board of Directors, Ms. Shinn is a Board Member with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and a volunteer with Boca Ballet Theatre and Place of Hope. A native South Floridian, she enjoys exploring local spots, boating in the keys, and partakes in fashion/arts-related events in her spare time. Prior to joining the Board of Directors, Ms. Shinn was instrumental in bringing Dance Injury Prevention Workshops to Bak MSOA via the Joe DiMaggio [U18] Sports & Dance Medicine Program. Her dedication to arts education, as well as her passion for youth health and wellness, make her a welcomed addition to the MSOA Foundation Board.
Ms. Whitney West is an alumna of Palm Beach School of the Arts, which originated on the same grounds as the current campus and is the first alumni to serve on the Foundation’s Board of Directors. She is the Senior Director of Programs and Operations for the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce where for the last two and a half years she has built solid relationships with the business community and was the driving force behind their Prosperity Leadership Program. Prior to joining the Chamber, Ms. West was an Artist in Residence at Dreyfoos School of the Arts working with the Dance Department. A University of Central Florida graduate, Ms. West holds a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management as well as an undergraduate degree in Public Administration. Her dance education background and passion for the arts, along with Whitney’s firsthand knowledge of arts education and alumna status brings a new and welcomed perspective to the MSOA Foundation’s Board.
