Cooperative Extension Service Offering ServSafe Manager Certification Workshop

The Palm Beach County IFAS Cooperative Extension Service is offering the University of Florida Food Safety and Quality Program’s ServSafe training for food managers and staff.   The workshop provides up-to-date information and current regulations regarding safe and clean food preparation.  Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive national certification that is valid for three years.

Certification is required in Florida for food managers of all establishments licensed by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and selected licensees of the Department of Health.

This workshop is a fast-paced overview of the textbook. Reading the book beforehand will give participants the best chance for success on the exam that is offered the same day.  Participants must register in advance.

The class and exam will take place on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Clayton Hutchinson Building, Conference Room, 559 Military Trail, West Palm Beach.  The cost for the class and exam is $110, and the cost for the class, textbook and exam is $165.
